R.I.P. Secret Stash Sea Salts

Friends,
We have sad news: we're closing our beloved salt company. Thank you, everyone, for your support, business, encouragement, and friendship. We truly have appreciated the opportunity to be your salt source and will miss ALL of you.

  2. Oh God....But why? Your products were liked by my all family members and what I know that in market also the response was awesome. Can I know the reason for the same?

  4. Jenny,

Thanks for the thoughtful note. You inspired us with your homemade cracker jacks flecked with vanilla salt and many, many more confections. You're a force in the kitchen; we'll be following your baking adventures.

Hope you and Todd are soaking up the Seattle summer light, and that the band too, is keeping pace!

  6. Web D,

Like many of life's trials and tribulations, there wasn't a single all-eccompassing factor. The loss of our Seattle commercial kitchen and chef Joe his job, forced the issue, halting salt production. Bigger challenges were scaling, manufacturing, volume requirements, no barriers to entry (new salt businesses being launched bi-monthly), etc.

  7. Salt is essential to life and because our bodies cannot manufacture it, must be obtained externally. The human body needs only a couple hundred milligrams a day to stay healthy
